Gretchan Moore, an Arts and Sciences cell and molecular microbiology major, was recently named a 2015 Future Care Scholar by Tylenol.

The Oklahoma State University Department of Sociology tied for top honors at the Association for Applied & Clinical Sociology (AACS) conference held Oct. 8-10, in Montgomery, Alabama.

Michael Oehrtman, associate professor of mathematics at Oklahoma State University, has been awarded a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant in excess of $470,000 to help improve secondary mathematics teacher training. 

The Oklahoma State University Fire and Emergency Management Program has been selected for the 2015 Best of Stillwater Award in the Education category by the Stillwater Award Program.

The OSU English Department’s Creative Writing Program will host visiting poet and collaborative artist Robin Becker for a poetry reading, book signing and gallery talk on October 14 and 15. 

The National Science Foundation (NSF) recently awarded Oklahoma State University Regents Professor and Lawrence L. Boger Professor of International Studies Dr. Charles I. Abramson and a consortium of U.S. and international faculty and students a $4 million grant to conduct ambitious research on reward-based decision making.  

Each year the Achafoa Chapter of Mortar Board at Oklahoma State University choses 20 students to be selected as the Top Ten Freshmen Men and Top Ten Freshmen Women to honor their achievements during their freshman year.  

Thanks to the generosity of the Lew Wentz Foundation, 26 Oklahoma State University undergraduates representing a range of disciplines will each receive a $750 Fall 2015 Wentz Semester Research Grant to conduct an original research project under the guidance of an OSU faculty member.
